The major diagnoses seen within this department include, but are not limited to: cardiac diseases, hypertension and associated diseases, diabetes and chronic multi-system problems. Patients presenting to our facility are welcomed by a greeter and directed to our triage area where assessment of the patient's needs is immediately done by an emergency RN and/or Physician Assistant with a decision about care subsequently being made by our Emergency Department physicians with collaboration of the treatment team. Fast-track evaluations and treatments are also provided for patients not needing emergent care.
