Last month was an exceptional month in many areas, and
our momentum continues to increase. The leadership
team, QHR consultants, and many employees are managing
numerous work initiatives. The curtain-wall construction
project continues to progress well, but adjusting to construction has been challenging.

Much progress was made in the
month of April operationally, and
EBITDA was a loss of $855,535.
(March reported loss was
$934,996). Acute care admissions
were down 9% from prior month or by 49. ALOS at 5.5 days
was unchanged. Emergency
Department visits were down 2%. All other O/P visits were up
36% primarily due to the new laboratory service with Hadley
and Capitol Hill Medical Centers.

May, 2008
March was a strong month
with progress being made with
several initiatives. We had a
good month operationally.
Admissions were up by 81 from February and by 21 from March
last year. ALOS for medical/surgical patients was down a third
of a day, and Medicare patient
mix was up to approximately
40%.

We have owned and
operated GSCH for four
months now, and the
number of work initiatives
continues to increase.
Our rate of change is
substantial, and we are
making progress in many
areas of the hospital on a
weekly basis.
