About Specialty Hospitals of America

Specialty Hospitals of America was founded under the concept of Healthcare Simplification. Less generally focused, more highly specialized providers of healthcare will provide centers of healthcare excellence in the decades to come. Specialty Hospitals of America, LLC (SHA) and its affiliates will configure service lines to offer focused care as opposed to a traditional community hospital which typically offers broad-based, non-specialized services.

SHA will seize the opportunity to acquire and manage hospital assets and channel the resources and energy of the acquisition to create Focused Centers of Medical Excellence (FCME's). These centers of excellence will:

• Enhance Clinical Compliance.
• Implement local Community Advisory Boards.
• Seek JCAHO accreditation.
• Improve business and clinical systems processing.
• Refine and clarify the expansion of successful service lines in selected areas such as Cardiovascular and Heart-related disease, Pulmonary, Orthopedic, General Medicine, Gerontilogical, Rehab, Diabetes, Wound Care and Endocrinology.
• Implement these expanded service lines by working with community referral resources to reflect their case mix and expressed need for high acuity, longer term care that may not be efficiently and as effectively handled in a short term care environment.
